Ron van den Beuken, nascut pe 10 aprilie 1970, in Horst (Olanda) a studiat muzica la Conservatorul si Universitatea din Maastricht, unde devine si interesat de muzcia dance. Dupa absolvire, intra pe scena muzicii dance, si nimic nu-l mai opreste pe acesta sa urce in foarte multe topuri si sa castige multe premii. El a lucrat si in spatele unor proiecte si alias-uri, precum Clokx, Delerious, Floyd, The Mystery , R.V.D.B., Shane, Unicorn, Zith, J & R Project, Nightvision si altele. Concertele lui l-au purtat prin toata lumea, si anume Marea Britanie, Mexic, Ucraina, Dubai, Turcia, Rusia, Canada, Elvetia, SUA, China si multe altele. A fost invitat la mari festivaluri ca Trance Energy 2007, Castledance, Ministry of Sound, Dance Planet, Gate Crasher, Streetparade, Alcatrazz Festival 2008 sau Loveparade 2008. Ultima lansare a artistului este hitul Ron van den Beuken Vs Crossed Eyes - 'Terminal 44'. Artistul se opreste pentru putin timp din programul sau foarte incarcat si ofera un interviu in exclusivitate site-ului trancearena.ro.

1. Ron, you studied music at the Conservatory of Maastricht, which I think is an asset to your experience of DJ, producer and remixer! That is my opinion! Hahaha. What do you think? Such training is necessary for someone who wants to have your success? Argue!

I think that it makes it easier yes having this background, its the main reason why i am available to produce so many directions. As people know me only from trance-music i like to inform them that lately i did also Milk Inc. Blackout (Dutch Radio), i produced the album of Nils van Zandt, and also a layed my hand on Wildboyz ft. Ameerah Sound of Missing You, Ian Carey Shot Caller. Also the new Robert Abigail Goodtimes was produced by me. So with the conservatorium as education it makes it more easier to analyse the different styles of music and then produce it also.

2. How would you oriented by the electronic dance music? What inspired you? Do you remember the circumstances?

I've always been fascinated by computers, because it almost has no limits when it comes to producing music. So i started already in the early days, with commodore 64, then 128 and then the Amiga 500 etc etc. I think a have been working on computermusic now for over 25 years.

3. You received many awards and you got many times in charts, especially in the Netherlands, the secret of the great hits and successful as yours?

I just happened:) I dont not really know the secret, because if i did, all tracks woud become hits, but thats not what always happens. But one thing is for sure, i always try to produce tracks that are playable for dj's but also good for be played at radiostations. For me lately the last is the most important, radio is soooooooo important to get wellknown and i can bring you the money you need to survive in the musicbusiness these days.

4. Ron, how do you describe your fantastic music?

If you talking about my trance-tracks i would have to say, it has energy (which is for me very important, i dont like sleepy trance:)) and also it has a good melody which makes it more crossover-possible for Radio. About my housetracks i can only say, those are more like popsongs qua structure, so verses, refrain, and bridge.

5. What was the coolest event that you attended? Festival or club? Where you found the public enthusiastic? Which country?

Sunrise in Poland was very good, but also Trance-Energy, and E-lake, Streetparade, etc all where very nice events. And yes most of the time people like my choice of records i play as i play (thats how i feel it) only good tracks, i dont play all the newest stuff when the tracks are shitty, so only good music i like to play. About the country, i like many, but South-America is very good, and also East of Europe i like the crowd.

6. And because it came about events ... Tell us about the event that you organize 'Alcatrazz Festival''. Are you satisfied? How do you see its evolution? How many scenes will be at the festival this year?

About Alcatrazz, i am one of the funders of it. We organise it now for the third year and hope that i keeps on growing. Last year we had over 6000 people. We have 5 stages, its outdoor, at one of the most beautiful location in Holland.

7. What equipment is in your studio? What is your favorite VST / at which you use most often?

My equipment is like lots of VST's, but also Virus, Nordlead, Roland JP, Microwavestation, EMI samplers and drumcomputers. My Mixingconsol is a TASCAM. Lately i use more the VST's over the hardware equipment.

8. Ron, tell us how many hours per day spent in the studio?

I work everyday in my studio from monday till friday, i start arround 7:30 in the morning and finish 17:30 as i have 3 kids and i wife i do the cooking and take care of them after finishing my work in the studio.

9. In March, if I remember correctly, you'll launch the collab with Jan Oostdyk - the song "Shamelles'. How did you get to work together? What do you think about this producer?

Thats correct, Jan called me and asked if he could do a track overhere, and i said yes. I think he is a very good producer, as there are many these days. Only thing i advice them all, try to think RADIO, as there is the key to real succes. And if you want to make a good living of (dance)-music its the only way to make a living on long terms.

10. In the future, with what producer want to collaborate? Any producer favorite you plan to bring in your studio?

I dont have favorite producers. So at the moment i dont have plans to bring some to my studio as i have sooo many work to do for lots of artist i hardly find the time at the moment to sit together with other producers overhere.

11. What are you favorite tracks right now?

Also i haven't a favorite track. I like too many:)

12. What do you think about the quality and quantity of the trance music by our days?

Thats a good question:) I think the trance is now again on its way to get better. The last 2 years a lot of crap was released and thats one of the reasons why trancemusic fell down. Its important to make trance-music thats also good enough for Radio, because if Radio plays Trance-music more and more people will like it and the scene will be bigger again.

13. From your productions which tracks you like most?

I think it would be Timeless and Overdrive. Those tracks have a certain feel, a feel i like:)

14. What are you preparing for the fans and your audience? What are you working?

At the moment i worked on Oryon vs Ron vd Beuken V2.0 (release now), and also the new RvdB vs MdJ is just finished (Release April). Also Shameless with Jan Oostdijk will be released in March. In Februar the release Namira will be a fact. Also RvdB vs Magicpower Eagles Fly will be released. This week i will be finishing the album of Nils van Zandt, on which i need to produce 4 more songs. And also i need to work on 3 more tracks for The Partycracks.Also Delta Goodrem Believe Again RvdB Rmx is finaly planned for release in March over SONYBMG) So my producing scedule is pretty busy i think...

15. What does Ron in the leisure time? Some hobbies?

Yes i have some hobbies, i like cooking (as i do every day for my family) and gardening in spring and during summer:)

16. What would you like to tell your fans and the visitors trancearena.ro?

1. Ron, ai studiat muzica la Conservatorul din Maastricht, ceea ce cred , reprezinta un atu pentru experienta ta de dj, producator si remixer! Asta este opinia mea! hahaha Tu ce crezi? Este necesara o astfel de pregatire pentru cineva care vrea sa aiba succesul tau? Argumenteaza!

Eu cred ca este mai usor avand aceasta pregatire, aceasta este principalul motiv pentru care sunt capabil sa produc in atat de multe directii. Pentru cei care ma cunosc doar din muzica trance, vreau sa-i informez ca in ultimul timp am facut, de asemenea, Milc Inc. - Bleackout (Dutch Radio Mix), am produs albumul lui Nils van Zandt, si, de semenea, am avut o contributie la Wildboyz feat. Ameerah - The Sound Of Missing You, Ian Carey - Shot Caller. De asemenea, noul Robert Abigail - Good Times a fost produs de mine. Deci, cu conservatorul ca educatie e mult mai usor sa faci o analiza a diferitelor stiluri de muzica si apoi de a produce, de asemenea.

2.Cum te-ai orientat catre muzica dance electronica? Ce te-a inspirat? Iti mai amintesti imprejurarile?

Intotdeauna am fost fascinat de calculatoare, pentru ca nu ai aproape nici o limita cand vine vorba sa produci muzica. Asa ca am inceput de timpuriu cu Commodore 64, apoi 128 si apoi Amiga 500 etc, etc. Cred ca lucrez pe computermusic de peste 25 de ani.

3. Ai primit multe premii si ai urcat de foarte multe ori in topuri, in special, in Olanda; care este secretul unor hit-uri extraordinare si de succes ca ale tale?

Doar s-a intamplat :) Nu cunosc intr-adevar secretul, daca stiam, toate track-urile mele ar fi devenit hituri, dar asta nu este ceva care sa se intample mereu. Dar un lucru este sigur, intotdeauna incerc sa produc track-uri care sa fie potrivite dj-lor, dar, de semenea, bune pentru a fi difuzate la posturile de radio. Pentru mine ultima e cea mai importanta, radio-ul este atat de important pentru a deveni cunoscut si el iti aduce banii de care ai nevoie pentru a supravietui in business-ul muzicii din aceste timpuri.

4. Ron, cum iti poti descrie fantastica muzica?

Daca te referi la muzica mea trance, pot spune ca are energie (care este foarte importanta pentru mine, nu imi place trance-ul adormit :)) si, de asemenea, are o melodie buna, ceea ce face mult mai posibila legatura cu radio-ul. Despre track-urile mele house pot doar sa spun, ca aceste sunt mai mult cantece pop ca structura, au versuri, refren si pasaje.

5. Care a fost cel mai tare eveniment la care ai participat? Festival sau club? Unde ai gasit cel mai entuziasmat public? Care tara?

Sunrise din Polonia este foarte bun, dar, de asemenea, Trance Energy, E-lake, Streetparade etc, toate sunt evenimente foarte frumoase. Si, da, de cele mai multe ori oamenilor le place alegerea pieselor facuta de mine, o fac dupa cum o simt, numai track-uri bune, nu rulez toate piesele cele mai noi cand acestea sunt de rahat, deci imi place sa bag numai muzica buna. Despre tara, imi plac multe, dar America de Sud este foarte buna si , de asemenea, Europa de Est, unde imi place multimea.

6. Si pentru ca a venit vorba despre evenimente...Povesteste-ne despre evenimentul pe care il organizezi 'Alcatrazz Festival'. Esti multumit? Cum vezi evolutia acestuia? Cate scene vor fi la festivalul de anul acesta?

Despre Alcatrazz, eu sunt unul dintre finantatorii acestuia. Il organizam acum pentru al treilea an si speram sa continue sa creasca. Avem 5 scene, este outdoor, in una dintre cele mai frumoase locatii din Olanda.

7. Ce echipamente se afla in studioul tau? Care este VST-ul tau preferat/cel care il folosesti cel mai des?

Echipamentul meu cuprinde o multime de VST-uri, dar de asemenea, Virus, Nordlead, Roland JP, Microwavestation, Emi samplers si drumcomputers. Consola mea de mixat este un TASCAM. In ultima vreme, folosesc mai multe VST-uri mai mult decat echipament hardware.

8. Ron, cate ore pe zi petreci in studio ?

Lucrez in fiecare zi in studioul meu, de luni pana vineri, incep in jurul orei 07.30 si termin la 17.30; cum am 3 copii si o sotie , gatesc si am grija de ei dupa terminarea muncii mele din studio.

9. In martie, daca imi amintesc bine, vei lansa colaborarea cu Jan Oostdyk la piesa 'Shamelles'. Cum ati ajuns sa lucrati impreuna? Ce crezi despre acest producator?

Asta e adevarat, Jan m-a sunat si m-a intrebat daca poate face un track aici, si eu am spus ca da. Cred ca este un producator foarte bun, asa cum sunt multi in aceste zile. Numai un lucru i-as sfatui pe toti acestia, sa incerce sa se gandeasca la RADIO, deoarece aici este cheia succesului real. Si daca doresti sa ai o viata lunga in muzica (dance) aceasta e singura cale pentru a sta acolo pe termen lung.

10. Pe viitor, cu cine doresti sa colaborezi? Vreun producator favorit pe care intentionezi sa-l aduci in studioul tau?

Nu am producatori favoriti. Deci, in acest moment, nu am planuri sa aduc pe cineva in studioul meu, pentru ca am atat de multa treaba pentru multi artisti, fiind greu sa-mi gasesc timp acum sa stau impreuna cu alti producatori pe-aici.

11. Ce piese ai favorite in acest moment?

De asemenea, nu am o piesa favorita. Imi plac prea multe :)

12. Ce crezi despre calitatea si cantitatea muzicii trance din acest moment?

Este o intrebare buna :). Cred ca trance-ul este din nou pe cale sa devina mai bun. In ultimii doi ani, o multime de rahaturi au fost lansate si acesta este unul din motivele pentru care muzica trance a decazut. Este important sa faci muzica trance destul de buna pentru radio, pentru ca radio-ul va difuza muzica trance mai mult si mai multi oameni o vor iubi si scena se va mari din nou.

13. Din productiile tale ce track-uri iti plac cel mai mult?

Cred ca ar fi 'Timeless' si 'Overdrive'. Aceste track-uri au o anumita senzatie, care mi-e imi place :)

14. Ce pregatesti acum pentru fanii si publicul tau? La ce lucrezi?

In acest moment lucrez la Oryon vs Ron van den Beuken V2.0 (lansata acum) si, de asemenea, noul Ron van den Beuken vs Maarten de Jong deja terminat (lansare in aprilie). De asemenea, 'Shameless' cu Jan Oostdyk va fi lansata in martie. In februarie, lansarea Namira va fi o realitate. De asemenea, Ron van den Beuken vs. Magic Power - 'Eagles Fly' va fi lansata. In aceasta saptamana, va fi terminat albumul lui Nils van Zandt, pentru care mai trebuie sa produc 4 piese. Si trebuie sa lucrez alte 3 track-uri pentru The Partycracks, de asemenea. Delta Goodrem - Believe Again Ron van den Beuken Rmx este planificat pentru lansare in martie, la SONY BMG. Deci programul productiilor este destul de incarcat, cred....

15. Ce face Ron in timpul liber? Cateva hobby-uri?

Da, am cateva hobby-uri, imi place sa gatesc (asa cum o fac in fiecare zi pentru familia mea) si gradinaritul primavara si toata vara.

16. Ce doresti sa spui fanilor tai si vizitatorilor trancearena.ro?

As vrea sa le multumesc pentru citirea acestui interviu si sper ca intr-o zi sa ne intalnim personal in Romania. Multumesc!
